Escape to Uepi Island, a remote barrier island on the edge of the Solomon Islands’ Marovo Lagoon, for an intimate week of extraordinary snorkelling and freediving in a pristine, protected paradise. For more than four decades, Uepi has been a marine reserve, and its waters teem with life — from delicate invertebrates and colourful reef fish to graceful manta rays, large schooling species, and the occasional elegant dolphin gliding through the crystal-clear blue.
Over the week, explore shallow coral gardens, dramatic drop-offs plunging into the deep, intricate caves and swim-throughs, historic WWII plane wrecks, and the open ocean, where every dive offers a chance for a new encounter. This retreat is crafted for confident snorkellers and freedivers seeking immersive, high-quality ocean experiences, with each day bringing its own underwater adventure.
Relax and unwind in our luxurious waterfront accommodation, where every room opens onto breathtaking lagoon views and the soft rhythm of island life. With the retreat limited to just 12 guests, you’ll enjoy a truly personalised, unhurried experience. Two or more guided snorkelling excursions run each day, with optional depth-line freedive training for certified freedivers. Certification isn’t required to join, but those wishing to complete their freediving course during the week can do so under the guidance of an experienced instructor, combining expert instruction with the serenity of Uepi’s exceptional surroundings.
