Warranty & Returns


As we are an Australian-based business, we are required to abide by Australian consumer law and replace, repair or refund defective products. Many international freediving equipment manufacturers do not have warranties that meet Australian consumer standards, however, we have arrangements with a number of manufacturers to extend their warranty for equipment bought through Encounter Freediving, in order to meet Australian standards. This means that most equipment bought through Encounter Freediving will have a longer consumer warranty than if bought from overseas.


Made-to-order goods (e.g. cut-to-length rope) and special orders (of items not usually stocked) cannot be returned unless defective, so, please choose carefully.

Products that we hold in stock can be exchanged, however, the customer is responsible for the cost of returning the goods to us, and shipping replacement goods. For returns to be accepted, they must be in as-new condition, including the packaging and they must be returned to us within three weeks of purchase.
